• Protected Serial Interface: The serial circuit uses TVS and magnetic-bead protection components to help protect the PCB from damage caused by surges and high-voltage interference.
• SIM Card Protection: An SMF05C ESD protection device is added to the SIM card circuit to improve protection against electrostatic discharge and enhance system reliability.
• Optimized Antenna Circuit: The antenna traces are designed to be short and straight to help maintain strong and stable signal performance.
• Clearly Labeled PCB: All interfaces are clearly marked on the PCB, making secondary development and wiring more convenient. The design follows the SIM900A hardware design guidelines.
• Protected 5V Power Input: The 5V power interface includes protection circuitry to help prevent PCB damage caused by incorrect power connection. For initial computer-based debugging, USB power is sufficient. For long-term data transmission, a DC power supply rated at 1A or higher is recommended.
• TTL Interface: The TTL interface supports both 3.3V and 5V logic levels, making it compatible with a wide range of microcontrollers, including 51-series 5V MCUs and STM32 MCUs.
• Dual Antenna Interfaces: The module provides two antenna connection options: an SMA antenna connector and an IPEX MINI antenna connector. The IPEX MINI connector is not soldered by default.
• RS232 Interface: A dedicated RS232-level interface allows the module to be connected directly to a computer using an RS232-to-USB serial cable for convenient debugging. Alternatively, a USB-to-TTL connection can be used depending on the user’s equipment and requirements.
